Washington DC on demand  

Envision receiving your own tailored moving image high definition shots of Washington DC's cityscape or surrounding locations for use in your hi def production. Whether your footage is destined for HDTV, corporate or museum displays, or DI, "Lines" can provide you with high definition uncompressed ready to edit footage in a timely manner. 

This service is being developed at Bonolabs, the technical initiatives division of Bono Film & Video in Arlington, Virginia. Bonolabs is situated 5 minutes from Washington DC. If your subject can be found in our region, our new "DC on Demand" service may be just what you need. DC offers the national monuments and recognized public spaces as well as culturally diverse neighborhoods and natural sites of uncommon beauty. We've put together a consortium of talented filmmakers ready to go out on assignment for you.

We have designed our new stock footage system to be different from the rest. You may order your own stock footage on demand of the Washington DC metropolitan area. No longer do you have to force fit shots to meet your production needs or up convert NTSC footage into high definition. Conceived as an outgrowth of a workflow path that maximizes resolution and minimizes cost, the service starts with 16 mm film (Ultra 16 and Super 16) that is telecine transferred to 1080 24Psf high definition and delivered uncompressed on hard drives. The files are 10-bit uncompressed and ready to edit. The clips are royalty free.

Here’s the way it works: 

1. You contact us with your footage needs and basic requirements. 
2. We research the appropriate location, best shot angles, and most pleasing time of day for best lighting.
3. A photo storyboard and timeline are proposed.
4. Upon approval, we send the cameraperson out to expose the footage.
5. The exposed footage is processed in our lab and transferred to direct to drive.
6. You have the option to order thumbnails emailed to you prior to the footage arriving via drive.

This entire process is designed to be completed in 2 weeks from start to finish. The clock starts once you sign the simple contract and we charge your credit card. The contract contains several stipulations and exceptions that must be accepted prior to the procedure moving forward. The footage becomes ours and remains ours for resale at anytime. What you gain is pristine footage that you may use for your project and other projects at a cost effective price. It’s “on demand custom stock footage” that you specifically order.
